It's Official

For those of you that don't know, I got my DRIVERS LICENSE a few weeks ago!! Just last week I got my official, shiny, plastic license in the mail. It has been sooooo wonderful being able to run out for frozen yogurt or go on a spontaneous thrifting trip! Here are a few of my most recent thrift finds! I can't wait to find outfits for all of these pieces and possibly DIY some! The bandeau I have already worn here.

Disclaimer: I am not a skater girl. The best I can do on a skateboard is go in a straight line for a few feet at maybe two miles per hour. That is why as two real skater dudes came around the corner traveling at approximately one hundred miles per hour I ran into my garage to hide. My brother was laughing at me but I'm laughing at myself now so he's off the hook!

A Maxi Summer

I haven't taken this skirt off since I bought it on Friday! I am seeing lots of remixing it in the near future! So far, it's probably one of my favorite summer pieces along with this peter pan collared tank top!

This past first week of summer has been wonderful! Full of thrifting, hanging out with friends, and making fruit-filled smothies! Now, if only the temperature would get past the 60's!

Three things I've been drawn to lately: One, beautiful, blonde, highlighted hair. Two, graphic tee and shorts combos. Then three, these fantasic photos that seem to sum summer up in just one deft shutter-click. 

En Pointe

Ballet is a dance every little girl loves because you get to be dressed in frilly, pink tutus and dainty shoes. That's how I felt anyway. I had a specific outfit I would wear to my dance classes: pink leotard with rihnstones and tutu, a plastic white and pink shell necklace, and finally my tights and ballet shoes.

The shoes are what inspired this post. As soon as I saw these while browsing Urban Outfitters, they went to the top of my "to buy" list. I love the idea of incorporating ballet inspired pieces into an everyday outfit, such as these ballet flats or a tutu.

Wide Awake

Have any of you ever gone to Starbucks at nine o'clock at night and forgotten to get your tea de-caf? Yeah, well guess what I did this evening? Exactly that. That is why I am writing this post at 11:11 wishing that I will be able to go to sleep within the next thirty minutes.... We'll see.

I love the pairing of this top and jean jacket. The little scallops peak out perfectly under the cropped jacket. It's just wonderful when two pieces of clothing fit together so well!

Forest Floor

A key hole back and a peter pan collar, two things I've been looking high and low for found in one perfect piece of clothing. I can't go shopping lately without bringing home at least one new thing for my summer wardrobe! Tank-tops and headbands are constantly catching my eye.

And so the countdown begins: 13 days until the first day of Summer.

Dreamy

The white trend I've been seeing for Summer is definitely something I can see myself getting into! All the lace and sheer elements are simply dreamy! I had so much fun making this collage of all my favorite looks contributing to this trend!
