Blue Christmas

Macy's sweater, American Eagle jeans and necklace, Target loafers, Cotton On purse

After a month of anticipation it's always an odd feeling when Christmas is over. I do however, get to hold on to it a little longer as our tree is still up and the family is in town until Sunday!

It snowed last Friday but the rain and temperatures in the high forties melted it away. This is what allowed me to be comfortable in jeans and a sweater while downtown with my mom and sisters!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas!

Happy Holiday Season

thrifted top and jacket, Cotton On purse, American Eagle jeans and boots, Urban Outfitter rings

Happy December 1st! I am so excited for the holiday season I can't even explain! Idealy it would have snowed while my friend Petra and I were having coffee downtown, but I suppose the gorgeous rainy days we've been having will do for now.

To-do List

All photos via Pinterest

This a compilation of a few of my favorite photos right now. It's also a kind of list of things I'm hoping to do soon. I haven't been thrifting in forever and I always love flipping through the records. Also, I need to get out more. I've been cooped up in the house with all my school work! What's on your to-do list?

Rookies

Basically, today was wonderful. Rookie was having an event in Seattle to celebrate the launch of Yearbook Two! I've been a fan of Tavi Gevinson (the founder and editor of Rookie) for so long it was AMAZING to meet her! It was so inspiring to be in the middle of a bunch of stylish, creative teenagers who love this magazine as much as I do! Seriously, an eyeball painted onto a studded denim jacket! A little bouquet of flowers tucked into a little leather bag! These are my kind of people!

My friends Brooke and Jenna came with me and we instantly befriended Hailey (second to last photo). A super stylish, wonderful girl from Canada who we sat next to. I wish it would've lasted all day so I could have met all the cool people there! In short, Rookie, YOU RULE!

On a side note, November 7th marked the three year anniversary for this here blog! I went back to my first posts on this momentous occasion and while stalking myself I was amazed by how much support and love I've gotten from my followers! Blogging is such a joy for me and I just wanted to thank everyone for being so wonderful!

Autumn in the City

thrifted top, jacket, and jeans, Madden Girl boots, American Eagle necklace

I can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday! Tea at Roy Street Coffee and walking and shopping around Capitol Hill with the lovely Greta from La Vie de Greta! This girl and I have so much in common I swear we could just sit and talk all day! We went on a walk with no real destination in mind and every street was framed with beautiful leaves!

And guys, I got rings! As I mentioned in my last post I've been searching for some and I found a gorgeous set at Urban today. I will definitely be including those in my next outfit post!

Wishlist

All photos via Pinterest

So far I've spent this week working through a persistent cold and clouded skies. Thankfully, progress was noticed today in both areas!

I always have a lengthy wishlist going in my head but recently there have been three things in particular I've been looking for.
Rings. I've never been much of a ring person but I've been seeing so many adorable ones I can't help but want to start my collection!
A long sleeve dress. Out of all my dresses not one is long sleeve! It'd be perfect for fall and winter layering!
A cozy scarf. Yes, I do have quite a few scarves already but can a girl really have too many?

Autumn and Apples go Hand in Hand

Urban Outfitters top and sunglasses, thrifted shirt and jeans, TOMS shoes

Sunday apple picking, Monday apple pie; last week started off right! I wish you could all taste these delicious things! As for my outfit, I'm always grabbing simple pieces from my wardrobe but spending the afternoon at an orchard just begs for jeans and a chambray shirt.
