See Summer Better

H&M top and pants, Warby Parker sunglasses,  Fjallraven backpack
#seesummerbetter

Summer. There are so many wonderful things about it. Though I'm working a lot to save for college this fall, I always find time to go on small adventures on my days off. On this particular day I went to my favorite coffee shop downtown with my friend Ebony to get some work done and do some exploring.

I've worn glasses since the fourth grade. I may not be happy with my truly terrible eyesight but I am happy for companies like Warby Parker who provide me with awesome style options and quality glasses. Just this year I got my first pair from them and am in love. I feel like I've finally found a pair of glasses that suit me and I get compliments on them all the time!

The sunglasses featured in this post were my favorite of the 5 glasses I selected to try most recently using Warby Parker's home try-on program. Warby Parker is also very active in donating to their non-profit partners that provide training for men and women in developing countries to give eye-exams and sell affordable glasses to their community. I love supporting companies that have a business plan that allows them to give back to the community and I hope more businesses follow their lead!

Patch Me

vintage jacket, thrifted jeans, belt, and backpack, Target top, Unnown sneakers

Ever since I got this vintage Levi's jacket from Atlas Clothing, I've been personalizing it with the button pins and patches I pick up. I came across the Made by Laney Etsy shop and I immediately wanted everything I saw. Laney's t-shirts and patches completely satisfy my music obsession with so many creative designs featuring various song titles of The Strokes and other amazing musicians like Arctic Monkeys and Mac DeMarco. I love the personal and arts-and-crafts look each item has.

For the month of May, Laney is donating half of all profits to her local animal shelter and you can use the coupon code '20OFF' at check out for 20% off your order! So, make sure and check her shop out!

PNW Winter

thrifted jeans and flannel, handmade scarf, Free People bag, Converse sneakers

The temperature in Washington rarely dips below 45. Sure there's a bit of rain, but I think I'm a little better off than my sister who has to deal with freezing temperatures and snow all winter. I'm very happy to be able to layer a flannel over a long sleeve shirt, add a scarf and call it a winter outfit.

Remember this Free People bag that I posted about a couple months ago? I finally bought it with some Christmas money and it is just as versatile and beautiful and perfect as I predicted. Basically what I'm saying is you can expect to see it in practically every outfit post from now on...
