It's hard to believe Autumn officially starts on September 21 this year! I've been hearing about "fall fashions" and been getting "back to school" catalogs since July! The start of school is usually when I feel Fall coming on.

These are some of my favorite photos of the moment! I hope you enjoy the collage I made out of all of them! Happy last day of August!
I am so happy to introduce these bad boys into my shoe collection! Oh it was a long and hard wait, I ordered them on Urban Outfitters' website, but they were back ordered. Little did I know I could have ordered them from Zappos and gotten them in one day instead of one month. But, I have them now and I am so excited to work them into more outfits!

Bringing old pieces that you haven't worn in forever is so fun! You get to mix them with the new things you've gotten and they seem completely new! That's what happened with this skirt, I found it in the back of my drawer and immediately had this outfit in mind. I love the mixing of the floral in the skirt and the floral of the lace top!
J.Crew = AMAZING. All the time. The clothes, the stylists, everything. Everytime I see a catalog or new looks from them I swoon over how gorgeous everything is. Now, I can only buy things that are on sale from J.Crew, but I can always pull so much inspiration from their looks. These are a few of my favorites from their Pre Fall collection. I hope you guys enjoy these as much as I do!
I still have three whole weeks of Summer left, and though I am excited to begin back to school shopping and start the new school year, I'm trying to hold on to Summer as long as possible. The gorgeous weather here is making that extremely easy!
My beautiful friend Brooke and I set out to take some photos in my favorite meadow and these are the outcome! To celebrate the success we headed to the closest coffee place and ordered carmel coffee milkshakes. We headed back to my house to edit the photos and unable to pry our mouths of the straws, we both one handedly controlled our bikes trying not to kill ourselves in the process!
Enjoy the photos! Make sure and enter the giveaway if you havn't already!
p.s. Brooke's the model, I was the photographer. I guess we look more alike than I realized! : )
A button back top is something I simply can't pass up. It's one of my favorite details a shirt can have. Sort of like a dress with pockets, it makes it a million times better!
I have recently reached one hundred followers! In honor in passing this major landmark I am hosting my first giveaway!
I will be giving away a pair of these earrings! They won't be exactly the same but will be very similar. They will have silver chains and you will get to choose the color of the seed beads! To enter the giveaway you must:
1. Be a follower of Short and Sweet
2. and post a comment leaving the color of the seed beads you'd like for your earrings: either red or this seafoam color I did mine with.
This giveaway will close at midnight on Thursday, August 23.
I am so thankful for all my followers and for all the support you guys have provided! Thank you!!
At the beginning of the summer I wanted to host a dinner party to welcome it. Instead of a "Welcome Summer" dinner party, it turned into a "Late Summer" dinner party, as it was held
The evening went so well and was full of fun summer activities including grilling our pizza, an outdoor screening of the latest episode of Pretty Little Liars, and roasting marshmallows over a fire. I was also able to check off a lot of ideas from Pinterest that were on my list!

These photos were taking in my family's beautiful, lush garden! My mom has worked so hard on it and I'm so glad it's producing! I can't wait until we can pick more food! Raspberries, blueberries, and lettuce is what have been picked so far, and we have corn, peppers, carrots and the works coming!
I've been buying alot of essentials for my, ehem, back to school shopping. I just purchased two pairs of jeans from Urban Outfitters and have two pairs of shoes I've been dying to get coming in the mail! On one hand I want them to be on my feet right this minute, but there's always the excitment of getting a package in the mail after days and days of desiring them.
