Cool Kids
All images via Pinterest
Here are a collection of some of my favorite kid fashions. They're all so well dressed and inspiring! It seems like not to long ago when I was desperately wanting to fit into teen sizes, and now I'm wishing I could still fit into the children's section as well!

Seedy-DIY
I found the red, black, and white duster earrings on the Urban Outfitters website. About to put them in my bag, I looked at the written details and noticed they measured ten and a half inches long. I held a tape measure to my ear lobe and the ten and a half mark was past the ends of my hair. Deciding that was a tad too long for my taste, I gathered together some materials and made a pair of my own.
I have a lot of spare parts from old jewlery saved, so these earrings came completly from things I already had. I first slipped the seedbeads onto thread, leaving a few inches of spare thread on top. I made ten of those total, five for each ear. I tied the beaded thread onto chains of assorted lengths and using little wire pieces, I attatched the chain to the metal triangles. Lastly, I demolished an old pair of earrings and connected the triangle onto the part you stick into your ear. It was time consuming but fairly simple and I'm so excited they are now a part of my earring collection!

Colorblocked
Forever 21 top, Arie bandeau, Target shorts and sandals
Finally, a legitimate colorblocked outfit. Yes, it's a while after the colorblocking trend was at its peak, but I'm proud to contribute to it! I can't get over how perfect bandeaus go with these kind of tops, tops with partially open backs, big arm holes, or that are crocheted.
Yesterday I was feeling crafty and have a really fun DIY project to show you all! Soon, soon I will
post about it!
post about it!

Capitol Idea
Today I had the lovely opportunity to meet up with Sharmaine from Under Peach Trees! Her family was visiting Washington and I was so pleased when she agreed to get together!
The day started out a little rough despite the forecast of eighty degrees and sunny. Once my mom and I got to Oddfellows Cafe in Capitol Hill, it was dumping rain and thunder was booming right on top of us! Hence my order of warm, rainy day oatmeal!
While chatting over breakfast the weather cleared and we finished our afternoon shopping on Broadway! I had a great time meeting her and her two brothers! Make sure and visit Sharmaines blog!

Grand Old Flag
Happy Fourth of July everyone! My friend Frances and I had the best time with this photoshoot! We had to fold the flag in half approximately five times (or maybe two) because this is the same flag my dad just covered the whole side of the house with. It is that big. We caught a lot of attention with it while taking photos! Especially when I was up on the hill. Did I mention this meadow is right next to a road and houses...
